Discovering Your Own Reality

I am realizing more and more that most people are living someone else's truth. We are so bombarded with information 24/7, we are like zombies, believing without question what we see on TV or hear on the radio, buying this or that, striving/hoping for more, repeating the same routine day in and day out, that we forget that we have a fully capable mind that can direct our lives in the general direction that we want to go.

We are TOLD by the media, our close friends or family that this, that or the other will make us happy, yet when do we ever stop for more than 5 minutes to look inside to find out, investigate for ourselves, listen to our inner child to FACE and acknowledge what we've been really wanting to do with our lives.

Yes, that child we incessantly ignore.

When are we going to STOP allowing the mad, unconscious daily barrage of information to govern our lives, and face the fact that all those things we think we need, can not and will not make us happy.

When are we going to see that it is all just a great big blind fold to keep us from free, rational, logical, creative thinking.

When are we going to take off the blinders to allow ourselves to see that it's all just a big screen to keep us from our essence, to keep us from the one thing our incessant, noise making mind (our ego) doesn't want us to see, . . . the NOW . . . this very moment you stare at this screen and read this text . . . THIS moment, your life as it unfolds.

In reality, our thinking about what happened a minute ago (the past) or what might happen 5 minutes from now (the future) is all just a figment of our imagination (of our mind), yet even those thoughts will always happen, NOW.

I'm seeing more and more every day how miraculous the NOW really is. No opportunity in life, big or small can ever happen if we aren't present enough in the NOW to transmute the fog of thought our mind usually puts up to keep us from even seeing let alone acting on those opportunities.

So many miracles, so much magic happens every day of our lives, but most of the time we miss it because, as Eckhart Tolle states in his book "The Power of Now", our mind is making too much noise.

So my advice is this. Observe Your Mind. Discover Your Own Reality, not the one others create for you. And of course share what you learned that helped you get there. It can only make you stronger.
